Passionate About Communicating Change

Dr Shirley Magazi, serves as the Chief Executive Officer and Principal Coach/Mentor/Consultant at GLOWREACH. Passionate about change and addressing current challenges, Dr Magazi dedicated the first half of her career to address the impact of the then three major public health diseases (HIV/AIDS, Malaria, and TB) through research, monitoring and evaluation. The second half of her career, she invested her skills in addressing the high shortages of critical skills in Namibia by empowering more than 750 young unemployed youth to gain practical skills in vocational education and training. Dr Magazi is now focusing her energy to help organisations and individuals optimise their performance and success through coaching, mentoring, training, inspirational speaking, and evidence-based programming.

Dr Magazi also serves as an Advisor and Consultant to UN bodies, Governments, Church and Corporate Sector on governance and strategy. As a certified Life Coach she renders executive coaching and mentoring services, aimed at unleashing executive and leadership acumen. She is devoted to developing leaders with character and competence; raising principled and value-oriented leaders, effective and results driven stewards; leaders who are empowered with the skills to walk in authority, power, profitability and multiplication. Through training, coaching and mentorship, she equips, supports and guides people and organisations to convert potential to products and the use of talents to transform their world.

Dr Magazi is a Kingdom citizen with a prophetic voice and equipping mandate. She lives a life of dedication and service; being dedicated to God, her family, the church, business, empowering people and releasing destinies of people and nations. She is a firm believer of living out God’s optimal gift of life, contending for God’s perfect intent in all areas and dimensions of life. Her life investment revolves around developing world stewards, who are purpose oriented, faithful in their assignments, empowered to change their world and add value to their society. 

She is the wife to Pastor Pumzile Magazi and together have three wonderful children, Morashah, Shekinah and Nethaneal. As a woman, Dr Magazi appreciates the challenges faced by women pursuing their careers/ministries and yet with the enormous task of managing their families. She believes that women have the ability to reach both their career/ministry goals, manage their families and yet carry out their social responsibilities. 

Together with her husband, they serve as visionary Pastors over Generation Christ Bible Church, a vibrant church in Namibia, established in 2008, with the mission of influencing the direction of nations into godly nations. She is the co-founder of Generation Christ ministries, an evangelistic ministry that she has been running together with her husband since 1999.

Dr Magazi is the founder of Equipping Women for Change, a national women platform established in 2009, aimed at empowering women spiritually, physically, socially and economically to live fulfilled lives and influence their spheres. She is also the founder of Programme Destiny, a community-based programme that aims to empower the youth and communities to take charge and secure the future of the youth.
